A couple of weeks ago, our architecture professor took our class on a tour through Barcelona's Barri Gòtic, or Gothic Quarter. This is considered the old part of the city, and was built all the way back to the Spanish settlement in Barcelona in the 1st Century. This is what we saw:

Our Professor with the Class at the Beginning of the tour

One of many odd, odd doorhandles in the Gothic Area
Beautiful Architecture of the Old City
Roman Column remains from the Roman Settlement in Barcelona

A good example of the classic narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter

Our professor, always eagerly ahead to go to the next site
Entrance to Plaza del Rey
Beauitful scenary of Barri Gòtic

Motivating graffiti - Van! --- Go!
Walking back from a wonderful tour in the sun-soaked streets
