Why did you choose to study abroad?
As a storyteller, I’m constantly searching for new experiences to draw from when I set out to start a new screenplay, draft out a short story, or even sketch out a quick poem. Throughout my time in college, I have sought to explore all that I can in the journey towards discovering who I am and where I belong. I thrive on living in the moment and making the most out of my opportunities, so when I was faced with the decision about how to spend my studies, I did all in my power to take advantage of this unique experience. This is a chance for me not only to grow as a person, but also to improve my understanding of myself as a global citizen and gain a bit of perspective while having the time of my life.

Why did you choose your study abroad city?
I chose Prague as my destination due to a mixture of opportunity, curiosity, and the recommendation of trusted friends who recently completed the same program. I went out of my way to find a destination I admittedly knew little about – I wanted to put myself just outside my comfort zone so I could push myself to both learn and try new things! Plus, the Czech Republic is known for their hockey superstars, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in European hockey culture.

What are you most looking forward to during your study abroad experience?
Travel! Whether it’s retracing my family roots in San Giuseppe, Italia or visiting iconic historical sights, I’m extremely excited to explore all that Europe has to offer.

Fun Fact:
A short film I helped write (Hum) was selected from over 1700 submitted films as a finalist in this year’s Student Academy Awards.
