Why did you choose to study abroad?
A big motivator for studying abroad was that classes abroad are more specific and diverse than those at my home university. I am looking forward to learning more in depth about the subjects I am studying for my major. I have always enjoyed traveling and experiencing new cultures and countries, and I was happy to find out I would be able to do so and work towards my degree.
Why did you choose your study abroad city?
I sort of always knew I wanted to study in Seville. The Spanish side of my family is from there, and I always heard about the city from my aunts and my father and my grandfather. Seeing old photos of my family members in Seville made me want to create my own memories there.
What are you most looking forward to during your study abroad experience?
I'm looking forward to spending more time in Spain and seeing more of the country. I want to experience the different cultures throughout and learn as much as I can about food, people, customs, and life in Spain.
Food is a passion for me; I love trying new ingredients and flavor combinations. I am interested in the food culture of different countries, and I think food is a great way to better understand a people or place. I am willing to try (almost) anything, even when I'm not exactly sure what it could be!
