Why did you choose to study abroad?
The opportunity to grow as an individual, travel and further my experience in my field of study is what motivated me to study abroad. With my major, being bilingual will be a great skill in my field in the future. I have wanted to study abroad for years and now, during my last year of college, I have the opportunity to experience a new culture, travel and visit relatives! Choosing to study abroad was tough, as it's difficult to step into the unknown, but I knew that a place so unfamiliar is the place I will see myself grow more than anything.
Why did you choose your study abroad city?
I chose my study abroad city because of the language and culture. I am a Spanish minor and I want to further my knowledge and skills in the language, so I believe engulfing myself in the Spanish culture will really help that. I also chose it because I recently visited Colombia, and I fell in love with the culture there.
What are you most looking forward to during your study abroad experience?
I am really looking forward to traveling and meeting new people during my experience abroad! I haven't been able to travel Europe much, so I am excited to see all that it has to offer and to visit some family as well. I also am looking forward to all the cultural aspects (food, dancing etc) and to hopefully seeing a Real Madrid fútbol game!
I love being outdoors, whether it's playing sports, hiking, paddleboarding, swimming or playing frisbee! I LOVE sports; I played soccer for 15 years of my life and I actively follow it along with other sports as well. I also love meeting new people, dancing, laughing, and exploring new places!
