CEA Study Abroad Location: Barcelona, Spain

Why did you choose to study abroad?
I've wanted to study abroad ever since the wanderlust hit. I wanted to be able to take time to travel and learn about other cultures. Spending an entire semester in a new place is a great opportunity to do that. I want to expand my world beyond my small-town New England life.
Why did you choose your study abroad city?
I wanted to go to Spain to improve my knowledge of Spanish and it has always been a dream of mine to go to Europe. I chose Barcelona because I loved the vibrant and unique art culture there. The incredible architecture by Gaudí drew me in, and I hope to learn more about these works and Barcelona culture.
What are you most looking forward to during your study abroad experience?
I am really looking forward to being in a new city and trying new things. I can't wait to explore and learn from a place that is completely different than what I'm used to. This is the time to embrace adventure, and I want to go for it and make tons of memories while doing so.
I am a graphic design major and love everything about design, art, and photography. My favorite season is winter because I love to ski, but I also like to go hiking in the summer. I'm always down to go to the mountains.
