A little bit of what you’ll see in this video is the CEA London program’s flat. It comes with linens and all the kitchenware a student could need. There is a family room that is conjoined to the kitchen, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms. The staff is very helpful, and the flat is cleaned on a weekly basis, which is a nice plus. Watch the video for some more information and to see the flat itself. Lauren G. is the Fall 2017 MOJO in London, England. She is currently…

A normal day in London consists of waking up and brewing some tea to drink on the way to school.  I take a short walk to the underground station and then pop onto the Northern line towards London South Bank University. Classes can be long, but the teachers are amazing. After getting released from class, I swing over to my favorite spot, Borough Market, to grab a bite to eat. Then, I wind down the day with some homework and eventually a homemade meal. Each night ends up being different: sometimes we have…

study abroad, studying abroad, study abroad in Barcelona

Traveling to nearby places while you are studying abroad is a great way to learn about new cultures and enhance your study abroad experience. I chose to do some traveling around Europe before my semester in Barcelona began and I also took a few weekend trips during the semester. Just last weekend, I went with a few friends to Seville and Granada in the south part of Spain. From my experiences, I’ve put together a few pieces of advice that I hope will help other fellow travelers! Take…

I wish that someone would have told me before I went abroad that taking solo trips is one of the most important things you can do. Although I love traveling with friends, I never felt more blissful than I did traveling alone. The opportunity really gives you time to reflect and is the perfect way to hit the reset button. Especially when you are abroad it seems that I was always busy doing something or with friends. It is nice to be on your own time and getting…

For CEA London students every year, the Wales trip is one of the most anticipated trips planned for our program. Travel can induce a lot of stress when getting to and from a place and also seeing everything that you want to in such a short weekend trip which is what usually ends up happening when studying abroad. Instead when I went on a trip with CEA the itinerary was completely planned out and in the hands of someone else. All I had to do was sit back…

There are so many great opportunities to enhance your study abroad experience in Barcelona. You can do an internship, volunteer, or take a career development seminar, just to name a few. Maria Mateu, who is part of the CEA team in Barcelona, oversees all of these programs! I conducted a short Q&A session with Maria to have her explain a bit about some of these amazing opportunities. Sarah H. is the Fall 2017 MOJO Photographer in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently a Junior studying Graphic Design at Champlain…

Everything about going to school in Barcelona is amazing: from my walk to class down the beautiful road of Las Ramblas, to the always friendly and helpful staff at the CEA Academic Center. But my favorite part about studying in Barcelona is that I don’t just learn in the classroom. For my Architecture and Painting class, we visited La Sagrada Família and La Pedrera to learn about Gaudí’s architectural style. Through my Spanish class, I had the opportunity to practice the language when we did a conversational activity…

I chose to study in Barcelona because it’s a city with a lot of art culture. Back in the United States, my major is graphic design and I love everything about it. My study abroad experience has been enhancing my knowledge of this field by learning through different approaches. I am learning about topics that relate to design in various ways and this is allowing me to gain new perspectives and inspiration. In this blog I will explain what my education here in Barcelona is like and why…
